A man with a graying beard and hair, dressed in a gray sweater, sits in a white room. An Israeli flag is draped behind him as he responds to questions in Arabic. The four-minute video was released Tuesday evening by the Israeli army's Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, on the social media platform X.
The video was shared with a caption stating that an investigation is underway "with the Hezbollah saboteur ... who was captured in southern Lebanon." The Israeli army also reported the man's statements, in which he was highly critical of Hezbollah fighters allegedly operating with him. Neither the man’s identity nor his affiliation with Hezbollah has been independently verified.
Three men from Hezbollah's al-Radwan elite unit
In a separate post, Adraee alleged that the Israeli army had captured three members of Hezbollah's elite al-Radwan unit in southern Lebanon. He stated that "the 13th Brigade of the Golani Division discovered a tunnel entrance in a building used by Hezbollah." According to the post, the three men were found inside, armed, and subsequently surrendered. They are now under investigation by the army in Israeli territory.
On Sunday, the Israeli army alleged it had captured a Hezbollah fighter in southern Lebanon. In response, a party source acknowledged ongoing "bloody and violent confrontations with the Zionist enemy. We may kill some of them, and they may kill some of us, and we capture some of them, and they capture some of us, and we injure some of them, and they injure some of us. This is the nature of wars..." adding, "As Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said, we don’t leave our captives in prisons. If this is true, it’s not the end of the journey. There is no fear for Resistance fighters."
