During the night from Friday to Saturday, Ukraine and Russia reported enemy drone attacks targeting their territories. Kyiv claimed to have neutralized 24 Russian drones, while Moscow asserted it shot down 47 Ukrainian drones.
In a statement, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia had launched missiles at Ukraine from the Belgorod region, although it did not specify the number or type of missiles. According to this source, Moscow also launched 28 drones at Ukraine, with 24 being destroyed by air defense systems over the regions of Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kherson.
The Ukrainian General Staff also claimed a nighttime strike, without specifying the weapons used, against a fuel depot near the town of Rovenky in the Luhansk region, which is occupied by Russian troops.
According to this source, a fire broke out at this site, which, according to the General Staff, supplies the Kremlin's armed forces and had previously been struck by "Ukrainian armaments." Moscow has not confirmed this attack. Kyiv regularly targets Russian industrial and military sites in response to the bombings that have plagued Ukraine since the invasion in February 2022.
For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that it neutralized 47 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 17 over the Krasnodar region, 16 over the Sea of Azov, and 12 over the Kursk region. On Telegram, the governor of the Krasnodar region claimed that Ukrainian drone attacks damaged three homes and set a car on fire, without causing any casualties.
