Twenty-two people were killed and 117 injured in two Israeli strikes on Beirut Thursday evening, according to a new report from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the deadliest in the capital since Israel and Hezbollah entered open war.
It is the third time the Israeli air force has targeted the Lebanese capital since its cross-border fire with Hezbollah turned into open war on September 23. Since that date, more than 1,200 people have been killed across Lebanon and over a million have been forced to flee their homes.
