BEIRUT — Israeli Ambassador to Cyprus Oren Anolik took to X Wednesday morning to refute rumors circulating on social media about his alleged abduction. He wrote: "I am hearing that some fake news about me is circulating. Let me assure you, I am fine. It seems that someone came up with a very creative way to make the whole world call me and text me."
In Sweden, Stockholm police were alerted to a "bang" heard near the Israeli embassy in central Stockholm just before 6:00 pm (1600 GMT) on Tuesday, AFP reported. According to police press officer Rebecca Landberg, cited by AFP, evidence indicated that a shooting occurred at the embassy, though she declined to specify further details due to an ongoing investigation.
In Denmark, police reported investigating two blasts that occurred Tuesday night near the Israeli embassy in Copenhagen. No injuries were reported in either incident.
On Tuesday night, Iran launched around 300 missiles on Israel as a "retaliation to Israel's killing of [former] Hamas chief Ismael Haniyeh in Tehran and the [former] head of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah in the southern suburbs of Beirut."
