"Suicide bombings in the occupied interior [a term used to describe Israel and Israeli-occupied areas in Palestine] will return to the forefront as long as the occupier's massacres continue," the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad warned on Monday, claiming responsibility for a deadly attack in Tel Aviv the previous day.On Sunday, August 18, just an hour after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel to promote a cease-fire agreement in Gaza, a powerful explosion occurred in the country's largest city. The blast, which happened near the Shimon Bar Yocha synagogue where over a hundred people were praying, injured one person and killed the attacker. According to a joint statement by Israeli police and the Shin Bet intelligence service, the explosive device in the attacker's backpack...
