The Lebanese Ministry of Health released its latest weekly report on Friday, detailing the ongoing clashes between Hezbollah and Israel along the Blue Line since Oct.8, 2023. According to the data, based on information from hospitals up to and including July 23, the conflict has resulted in a total of 2,016 casualties, with 490 fatalities. Of the total casualties, 583 have required hospitalization since October.
The report shows that among the total recorded casualties, both killed and injured, 85% were men and 95% were Lebanese nationals, with 55% aged between 25 and 44. Among the injured, 44% suffered trauma from Israeli bombings, 32% were injured due to explosions, and 16% were exposed to chemical agents.
Citing figures from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the ministry reported that the number of people displaced from the border region since Oct. 8 stands at 98,002.
According to L'Orient Today's count, 512 individuals have been killed since the beginning of the conflict, including 380 Hezbollah members.
