BEIRUT — An exchange of fire took place near the Koura Hospital on Friday evening, leaving one person killed, according to witnesses of the scene and a medical source contacted by L'Orient Today's correspondent in the North.
The personal dispute at the start of the fight initially began in the Dar al-Nour area where two people were injured. One of the injured people was taken to the Koura Hospital.
One of the individuals at the scene, whose involvement in the shooting was previously uncertain, was hit by three bullets and died.
The victim, Souhayb Darwiche, was buried in Anfé, according to our correspondent on-site.
The Lebanese army came to the hospital's vicinity to control the situation and restore calm. The Internal Security Forces is currently tracking down the suspects involved in the shooting.
