Beloved Lebanese television star Fady Ibrahim died on Monday at the age of 67, following complications related to diabetes, announced the president of the Lebanese Actors Guild Nehmé Badawi on Facebook.

"It is with deep sadness that on behalf of the Lebanese Actors Guild, and his grieving family, we announce the passing of our leading actor, Fady Ibrahim," Badawi expressed.

Ibrahim, who had recently undergone the amputation of a lower limb, was reportedly unable to afford proper medical treatment amidst Lebanon's severe economic crisis, despite his family's appeals for financial support. Ibrahim's situation highlights the dire financial instability many Lebanese actors face amid the crisis as they age.

Ibrahim emerged a star in the 80s, appearing in Lebanese, Egyptian and Syrian series like 'Sons of Al-Rasheed: Alameen And Almamon,' 'Asmahan,' and 'The Second Gate.'

The actor's death prompted an outpour of tributes across social media platforms.

"A very sad good morning," commented an X user named Fatima Abdallah. "Lebanese actor Fady Ibrahim has left this life, which will surely miss him. His suffering is now soothed, and he will remain in our memories with God," she continued.
