Lebanon on Saturday claimed its second victory in the FIBA 2023 basketball World Cup against Iran, at a score of 83-71.
The game was the last for Lebanon in the competition.
After three defeats against Latvia, France and Canada, in the group stage, the Cedars secured their first win on the world stage since 2010 on Thursday against the Ivory Coast (94-84), thanks in particular to the tremendous performance of Amir Saoud, who was voted man of the match.
This is Lebanon's fourth time competing in the World Cup. The country has not yet qualified for the second round.
