BEIRUT — Fuel prices rose Saturday afternoon in Lebanon as the Lebanese lira continues to depreciate against the US dollar on the parallel market, according to the latest tarrifs published by the Energy Ministry.
After crossing the symbolic threshold of LL100,000 to the dollar Tuesday, the lira was trading Saturday around LL110,000 to the dollar.
Here are the new prices:
• Twenty liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL1,990,000, up by LL27,000
• Twenty liters of 98-octane gasoline: LL1,038,000, up by LL28,000
• Twenty liters of diesel: LL1,881,000, up by LL25,000
• Propane cylinder: LL1,325,000, up by LL18,000
• One Kiloliter of fuel oil (used to supply private electric generators): 794.55 dollars, unchanged.
