BEIRUT — Fuel prices increased in Lebanon on Thursday, according to the latest tariffs announced by the Energy Ministry.
This new price hike comes hours after the lira again exceeded LL64,000 against the US dollar on the parallel market hours and a day after the official dollar peg was adjusted to LL15,000, a 90 percent devaluation from the LL1,507-to-the-dollar exchange rate which had been in place for 25 years.
Here are the new prices:
• Twenty liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL1,200,000, up by LL40,000
• Twenty liters of 98-octane gasoline: LL1,228,000, up by LL42,000
• Twenty liters of diesel: LL1,238,000, up by LL41,000
• Gas cylinder: LL760,000, up by LL26,000
•One kiloliter of fuel oil (used to supply private generators) at $909.73, unchanged
