Fuel prices increase again following lowered subsidies

BEIRUT — Gasoline prices increased on Tuesday for the second day in a row, following lowered fuel import subsidies on Monday. Diesel prices, which decreased on Monday, also rebounded. Diesel prices for private generators remained the same.

Here are the new fuel prices announced Tuesday by the Energy Ministry:

• Twenty liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL634,000, up by LL6,000

• Twenty liters of 98-octane gasoline: LL649,000, up by LL6,000

• Twenty liters of diesel (for vehicles): LL785,000, up by LL8,000

• A canister of household gas: LL344,000, up by LL3,000

Diesel for private generators remains at $1,055 per kiloliter of fuel oil.
