BEIRUT — The water supply in Kesrouan is expected to return to normal within two weeks, the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment announced Sunday as water shortages persist.

Here's what we know:

In a press release, the water establishment explained that "the severe water cuts are mainly due to weather conditions and other natural circumstances," referring to the bad weather that has hit Lebanon in recent days.

The establishment added that the Chabrouh dam, which emptied due to late rains, currently contains frozen water due to the cold. “Within two weeks, this ice should melt,” the press release stated, adding that this would alleviate current shortages.
