BEIRUT — The Constitutional Council session started this morning with a complete quorum.
Here’s what we know:
• The council is expected to issue a decision on the appeal filed by the Free Patriotic Movement on amendments to the electoral law.
• "The decision will be issued at 2 p.m.," said the head of the Constitutional Council, Judge Tanius Mushlab.
• The amendments being challenged by FPM include moving up the date of the elections from May 2022 to March, as well as the removal of the six-seat specialized electoral district for expatriate voters.
