BEIRUT — The state telecoms provider Ogero announced Sunday afternoon that its internet services in Hamra had been interrupted owing to a technical malfunction. Ogero said the company's technical teams were working on fixing the problem.
Here’s what we know:
• Rana Naccache, a Hamra resident, told L’Orient Today on Sunday afternoon that the service had been interrupted since the morning.
• “An outage has been reported at the Hamra central, which has caused our services to be stopped for a number of subscribers in the mentioned region. Our maintenance teams are working to repair this outage as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding,” the operator wrote on Twitter.
• Ogero’s services have been repeatedly interrupted in recent months, most often due to generator overload amid a nationwide shortage of electricity supplied by the state power provider.
