BEIRUT — Six foreign workers were injured Tuesday when a device buried in an orchard exploded near the Israeli town of Metula, close to the Lebanese border, according to several Israeli media outlets.
Paramedics and rescuers, working in cooperation with an army medical team, administered first aid to the wounded at the scene.
Three of the injured were evacuated by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa: two were in serious condition with multiple injuries, while a third person in his forties was suffering from a chest wound. Three others, who were lightly injured, were transported by ambulance to Ziv Hospital in Safed.
