An oil tanker was hit by an "unidentified projectile" Saturday off the coastal city of Limah in Oman, at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, according to the British maritime security agency UKMTO.
According to UKMTO's report, the "unidentified projectile" caused "damage in the engine room." No casualties were reported, the British agency stated, adding that the vessel was struck 11 nautical miles from Limah.
