The Health Ministry's emergency center has updated its war casualty figures. It now counts 4,321 killed and 12,207 wounded by Israel since March 2.
This brings the total number of people killed by Israel to 16,528 people of all ages, 14% women and 86% men.
Israel's attacks since March 2 have also caused more than one million people to be displaced. The Israeli army occupies more than 600 square kilometers in southern Lebanon and is systematically destroying villages in the area under its control. Healthcare workers are not spared from attacks. According to the Ministry, casualties in this sector now number 176.
At a conference on cancer Friday, Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine said that 15% of hospitals providing services to cancer patients are now out of service because of the war, while 25% of pharmacies that were part of the 'Aman' network (for vulnerable populations) have had to close their doors.
