The U.S.-Iran deal, announced on Monday, provides for an end to the war on Lebanon, as announced by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Beyond that, very little is known about the matter. Despite the diplomatic breakthrough, many questions remain unanswered. In a region where the concept of a “cease-fire” no longer means much, it is unclear whether the agreement will be respected by the warring parties.
