BEIRUT — The Israeli army released photos of a change-of-command ceremony held by the Golani Brigade at Beaufort Castle, which was captured by Israeli forces several days ago.

"Beaufort Castle, in southern Lebanon, hosted the Golani Brigade’s change-of-command ceremony. Golani — until victory!" the army’s Arabic-language spokesperson wrote on social media alongside photos of the event.

The capture of the medieval fortress, located south of Nabatieh and overlooking the Litani River, has become a key element of Israeli military communications in recent days.
