BEIRUT — The Israeli army issued new evacuation orders on Tuesday for the entire city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.
In a message on X, Arabic-speaking military spokesman Avichay Adraee denounced "cease-fire violations" by Hezbollah and said preparations were underway to "act with force" against the group. Residents of Nabatieh are "called on to immediately evacuate their homes and head north of the Zahrani River."
The city of Nabatieh and its surrounding area have been repeatedly targeted by Israeli shelling in recent hours. One of these strikes, carried out by a drone on the Habboush road, moderately wounded two Lebanese soldiers, according to a brief statement from the army.
