BEIRUT — An Israeli strike on Monday night killed six members of the same family, including three children, in Marwanieh in the Saida district. A second strike on the same location wounded the first responders on the scene.
According to our correspondent in the South, the first strike, carried out with two missiles, destroyed the building, which collapsed on the Abdallah family, killing six of its members. When rescue teams headed to the site, Israel struck the area a second time, and several people were injured, including rescuers from the Islamic Mission Scouts Association (al-Rissala, affiliated with the Amal Movement).
This attack took place despite U.S. President Trump's announcement of a halt in hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, which did not prevent the Israeli army from continuing to strike south Lebanon.
Hezbollah, for its part, claimed to have repelled an attempted Israeli advance in the central sector, while projectiles were reported in northern Israel, although the group has not claimed responsibility for any launches.
