The head of U.S. Central Command (Centcom), Admiral Brad Cooper, told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday that Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis are now "cut off from Iranian arms supplies and support" following the U.S. military campaign as part of the war against Tehran’s Islamic regime.

"This outcome was neither inevitable nor random. It is the result of months of careful planning, based on decades of experience," the senior officer said in a message on Centcom's X account. Cooper added that groups backed by Iran have attacked U.S. troops and diplomats more than 350 times in the 30 months preceding the "Epic Fury" military operation.

The conflict in the Middle East, sparked by Israeli and American strikes against Iran on Feb. 28, gradually drew the entire region into war, before a cease-fire took effect on April 8.
