Iran warns US response is 'take it or leave it,' Tehran says

“There is no other option but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as set out in the 14-point proposal. Any other approach would be futile and would only lead to a series of failures,” he wrote on X.

Iran expands definition of Strait of Hormuz into 'vast operational area'

Iran has significantly expanded its definition of the Strait of Hormuz into what it describes as a “vast operational area,” according to a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, as reported by state-affiliated media.

Mohammad Akbarzadeh, deputy political director of the IRGC Navy, said the strait is no longer viewed as a narrow maritime corridor around islands such as Hormuz and Hengam, but instead as a broader strategic zone stretching from Jask in eastern Iran to Siri Island in the west.

Iranian media reports suggest the move further extends a previously announced operational area since the start of the Iran-US-Israel confrontation, with some descriptions indicating a zone hundreds of miles wide forming a “complete crescent.”

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints, with around one-fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas passing through it.

Israeli army says forces crossed Lebanon's Litani River, now deployed 10 kilometers deep into Lebanon

Israeli military forces crossed the Litani River in southern Lebanon in recent days and had gained operational control of the area, the Israeli army said on Tuesday, stressing that its forces remained within the buffer "security" zone outlined in the Israel-Lebanon cease-fire last month.

According to the Israeli army, the Israeli forces are operating about 10 kilometers inside Lebanon.

The operation is taking place as Israel and Lebanon sustain a shaky cease-fire, ahead of the expected third round of U.S.-mediated talks between Lebanese and Israeli delegations expected later this week.

The Israeli army said Golani Brigade troops crossed the river to prevent rocket fire toward Israel, and to destroy Hezbollah infrastructure including tunnels, weapons depots and launchers.

The military said about 70 Hezbollah operatives were killed in close-quarters combat with the troops. Four soldiers were wounded, including two in explosive drone blasts and two during clashes with militants.

The Israeli army also said the Air Force struck over 100 military targets during the operation.

Hezbollah weapons not part of negotiations with Israel, Qassem says

Naim Qassem has stated in a message that the weapons of the armed group cannot be removed through the ongoing direct negotiations between Israel and the Lebanese state. He tied any discussion about the group’s arsenal to several conditions, including a “cessation of aggression, an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon accompanied by the deployment of the Lebanese army south of the Litani, the release of prisoners, the return of residents to their villages, and the reconstruction of destroyed areas.”

“Only after Lebanon has achieved these five points can it organize its internal situation within a national security strategy, relying notably on resistance as an element of strength,” he said. “No one outside Lebanon has a say over weapons, resistance, or the organization of internal Lebanese affairs. This is an internal Lebanese matter and not part of negotiations with the enemy.”

He also urged the Lebanese government to withdraw from direct negotiations with Israel, as a third round of talks between delegations from both countries is scheduled this week in Washington. “We call for the option of indirect negotiations, in which leverage remains in the hands of the Lebanese negotiator … and for withdrawal from direct negotiations, which constitute net gains for Israel and free concessions from the Lebanese authorities,” he added.

Qassem said Hezbollah will keep fighting Israel ‘no matter how long it takes’

Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem vowed "continued resistance" against Israel in a message to the party's fighters, saying the group would not “submit or surrender” and would keep fighting “no matter how long it takes.”

In the statement, Qassem described the confrontation with Israel and its allies as an “Israeli-American aggression” aimed at subjugating Lebanon and incorporating it into what he called “Greater Israel.” He said Hezbollah would continue its military activities regardless of the costs, arguing that “the sacrifices are far less costly than surrender.”

“We will not abandon the battlefield, and we will turn it into a living hell for Israel,” he said, adding that Hezbollah would respond to any “aggression and violations.”

Qassem said Israel would eventually be forced to “give in, sooner or later,” and reiterated that the group would maintain its posture of resistance

Israel deployed Iron Dome batteries, personnel to UAE during war on Iran

The U.S. ambassador to the U.N., Mike Waltz, says Israel sent Iron Dome missile defence batteries and Israeli troops to the United Arab Emirates to help it defend against Iranian strikes.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed Waltz’s comments today at an event in Tel Aviv.

“I’d like to say a word of appreciation for the United Arab Emirates, the first Abraham accord member,” Huckabee said at the Tel Aviv Conference. “Just look at the benefits. Israel just sent them Iron Dome batteries and personnel to help operate them.”

Israel warns citizens over 'intimidation messages' allegedly sent from Iran

Israel National Cyber Directorate has warned that “intimidation messages” have recently been sent to citizens’ phones, aiming to “create panic and undermine the sense of security.”

In a statement published on Telegram, cited by Al Jazeera the agency said this is a known form of digital influence operation: threatening or emotionally charged messages sent directly to individuals in an attempt to trigger fear-based reactions. It urged the public not to open suspicious links or forward such messages.

The warning came after Israeli media reported that many residents received messages, allegedly originating from Iranian authorities, threatening renewed missile and drone attacks.

Israel is beginning to produce exploding drones to counter those used by Hezbollah

Israel is in the process of setting up a factory intended to produce a fleet of fiber-optic explosive drones to counter, among others, those used by Hezbollah, which have caused casualties in Israeli ranks in recent weeks, according to Israel’s army radio.

These drones will be used “on all fronts of the war,” according to the information published by the radio. The planned factory will allow the “industrialization and expansion” of the army’s explosive drone arsenal, in a production process described as “entirely Israeli.” Ultra-Orthodox soldiers will be recruited to work in this facility, with the first enlistments expected in June.

According to military estimates, “large quantities” of these devices could be produced within two months, starting at a rate of “several thousand per month,” and then increasing to “tens of thousands monthly.”

“The explosive drones of Hezbollah pose a strategic difficulty for [Israeli] forces in southern Lebanon and along the northern border since the beginning of the ceasefire. These drones have killed many fighters and civilians in the region,” the military radio added.

Fiber-optic FPV exploding drones have been widely used by Hezbollah since the beginning of the informal ceasefire to target Israeli troops occupying southern Lebanon. Israeli forces have been trying to develop countermeasures against these small, inexpensive, and often improvised devices, which manage to bypass sophisticated electronic jamming and radar systems used by the Israeli army, despite their multimillion-dollar cost.

Recent reports from Haaretz also mentioned the deployment of drones that release nets designed to entangle Hezbollah-operated devices.
