Wind and rain that have hit Lebanon since Sunday, right in the middle of spring, uprooted a tree in the Beit Mery area of Metn, blocking the road and bringing down a medium-voltage pole, according to residents whose information was confirmed by a source at Électricité du Liban.
Several residential areas have been without electricity since Monday, while power has been restored to other affected homes. The incident also prevented several residents from getting around until the municipality intervened to clear the tree and cables.
