The Lebanese Foreign Affairs Ministry on Monday condemned in a statement "the attempts aimed at destabilizing and undermining public order in Syria, revealed on April 19 by the Syrian Interior Ministry."

Bustros Palace is here referring to the alleged "sabotage cell" supposedly linked "to Hezbollah and to loyalists of the deposed regime of Bashar al-Assad" that Syrian security forces have accused of "preparing an attack from Syrian territory against targets located outside the borders," in the province of Quneitra, on the border with Israel. The Shiite party denied these accusations on Sunday and reiterated that it has "no presence on Syrian soil."

The Ministry thus expressed "its solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic" and emphasized its "absolute rejection of any involvement of Lebanese nationals in acts undermining Syria's security and territorial integrity."
