BEIRUT — After FlyDubai and Air Arabia, Etihad Airways has in turn announced its decision to resume flights between the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon on May 1, even though there is no guarantee that the cease-fire reached a week ago between Lebanon — and Hezbollah — and Israel will be extended, according to a message sent to Lebanese travel agencies.

Like other Gulf carriers, Etihad Airways had suspended almost all its flights after the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran began, before gradually resuming service following the partial reopening of Emirati airspace.

Although it still needs to be confirmed, the announced return of Etihad Airways is good news that adds to other positive developments in recent days.
