BEIRUT — Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf said on X that Washington was 'unable' to earn Tehran's trust during the first round of negotiations held in Islamabad on Saturday.
'Before the talks, I emphasized that we have the necessary good faith and willingness, but because of the experiences of the two previous wars, we have no trust in the other side,' he wrote Sunday on X.
'My colleagues in the Iranian delegation offered forward-looking initiatives, but the other side ultimately failed to gain the Iranian delegation's trust during this round of negotiations,' he added.
