Oil prices continued to rise Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened new severe strikes against Iran, dimming hopes for de-escalation.
The main U.S. oil contract, West Texas Intermediate (WTI), jumped about 9% to over $109 a barrel, while Brent, the international benchmark, rose about 8% to nearly $109 a barrel.
