About twenty countries, including the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and Japan, said Saturday they are "ready to contribute to the efforts" needed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which has been effectively blocked by Iran since the start of the war.
In a joint statement, these countries, mainly European, also condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting ships and oil and gas infrastructure, calling for an "immediate and global moratorium on attacks on civilian infrastructure."
