BEIRUT — The Israeli army has announced that it launched “a wave of simultaneous and large-scale strikes against Iran and Beirut.”
In a message on X, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, announced the launch of “a large-scale wave of raids targeting infrastructure belonging to the Iranian terrorist regime throughout Iran,” he emphasized.
“Simultaneously, the Israeli army launched a new wave of bombings targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut,” he added.
Since this morning, three strikes have targeted several neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of Beirut, after the Israeli army reiterated its call to evacuate Haret Hreik and Burj al-Barajneh.
According to local media, the first of these strikes targeted the "Abiad" district, near the al-Qaem mosque, and the other two targeted the Hadi Nasrallah highway.
