Israeli strikes hit a primary school for girls in the southern Iranian province of Hormozgan near the strategic sea route of the Strait of Hormuz, killing at least 40, a provincial official said, according to state media.
The attack hit Shajare Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, Hormozgan.
"In this morning's Israeli missile attack on a girls' elementary school in the county, 51 students have so far been killed, and 60 students have been wounded," the county governor he added.
