Mediterranean Season: When culture connects France, Lebanon and the region

"L'Orient-Le Jour" was at Mucem in Marseille on Wednesday for the much-anticipated announcement of the Mediterranean Season program. The event promises to be monumental, with more than 200 cultural gatherings organized from May 15 to Oct. 31 across France and even in Lebanon.

As an iconic venue for Mediterranean intercultural dialogue, the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations (Mucem) in Marseille was an obvious choice to unveil the Mediterranean Season program on Wednesday. Announced as early as 2023 by French President Emmanuel Macron and supported by the ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Culture, local authorities and the Institut Français, this season highlights a number of collaborations between France, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon.
