Afghanistan hit by severe weather: 61 dead in three days, authorities say

Heavy snowfall and torrential rains in Afghanistan have killed 61 people between Wednesday and Friday, according to a preliminary report released Saturday by the National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA).

An additional 110 people were injured, and 458 homes were partially or completely destroyed, mainly in northern and central provinces, according to a map published by ANDMA on X.
