Cohen: 'Historic moment for Israel'
Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen described the agreement with Egypt as a “historic moment for Israel,” noting that it is also the country’s largest-ever export contract.
He called natural gas “a strategic asset” for Israel and added, “more good surprises are to come.”
'Largest ever in Israel's history': Netanyahu announces deal to supply natural gas to Egypt
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had approved a deal to supply natural gas to Egypt, and claimed it was the "largest ever" natural gas deal struck by Israel.
Netanyahu also said that the deal will strengthen Israel's standing as an energy powerhouse, and will contribute to stabilizing Israel's relations in the region.
The gas sale agreement with Egypt involves the American company Chevron, AFP reports.
Gideon Saar says Israel seeks 'peace' and 'normalization' with Lebanon
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said to Al Arabiya English that Israel must finish Hezbollah for the sake of Israel’s security and bring Lebanon back to its people.
“We will not live with a terrorist state on our border,” the Israeli Foreign Minister continued.
Israeli Foreign Saar tells also said that Israel only has “minor” disputes with Lebanon that could easily be solved, adding that the only problems are Hezbollah’s presence and Iran.
Empty underground chamber found during Lebanese Army excavations in Touline
Following excavation operations by the Lebanese Army in the Touline valley (Marjayoun), a small underground chamber was discovered, but no weapons, ammunition, or equipment were found, according to our correspondent in South Lebanon.
The army is now awaiting the arrival of UNIFIL to present the results of the search, after Israel reported—through the “mechanism”— the suspected presence of a Hezbollah tunnel in the area.

The Lebanese Army is conducting an inspection in Touline (Marjayoun district), after Israel claimed through the cease-fire 'mechanism' a Hezbollah tunnel was in the village, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.

West Bank: Palestinian teenager killed by Israeli settler
Israeli settlers shot dead a 16-year-old Palestinian boy near Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Tuesday.
Mouheeb Ahmed Jibril was shot after the funeral of another teenager who was killed on Monday, the agency said, citing the mayor of Tuqu, the town where the incident occurred.
“As mourners were dispersing, several young men remained at the town’s northern entrance. A settler then got out of his vehicle and opened fire directly at them, killing Jibril and seriously wounding another young man,” WAFA reported.
Israel says it killed Hezbollah member ‘gathering intelligence’
The Israeli army claimed Tuesday it killed a Hezbollah member who was “gathering intelligence” on its forces in a strike on Taibeh (Marjayoun).
“This terrorist was collecting intelligence on Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and working to rebuild Hezbollah’s terrorist infrastructure,” Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesman, said on X.
The victim, Hussein Hassan Yehya, also known as “Ali Mourtada,” was killed in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a Rapid-type vehicle between the villages of Markaba and Odaisseh, near Taibeh.
Hezbollah later confirmed the death of its member, who was from the same village.

An Israeli drone fired a sound grenade off the coast of Ras al-Naqoura (Sour), according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
Israel denies six Canadian MPs entry to the West Bank
Six Canadian MPs who were in Jordan were denied entry to the occupied West Bank on Tuesday by Israeli authorities, who accused the delegation of being sponsored by "a terrorist entity."
The parliamentarians were participating with 24 other Canadians in a trip organized by Canadian-Muslim Vote, a charitable organization.
In a statement sent to AFP, the Israeli Embassy in Canada said the organization received funding from Islamic Relief Canada, a subsidiary of Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW). IRW has long rejected Israeli accusations that it is linked to Hamas.
Trump imposes entry restrictions on seven new countries, including Syria, as well as PA passport holders
Yesterday, Donald Trump extended entry bans to the United States to nationals of seven countries, including Syria, as well as Palestinians.
The US president signed a proclamation "further restricting and limiting the entry of foreign nationals in order to protect the security of the United States," the White House said.
The new countries affected by this measure are Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, South Sudan, and Syria, while Laos and Sierra Leone move from partial to total restrictions.
Southern Lebanon: Overnight artillery fire on the border near the town of Houla
On Tuesday evening, around 10 p.m., Israeli artillery fire targeted the al-Marj neighborhood on the outskirts of Houla (Marjayoun), causing no damage or casualties, according to our correspondent in south Lebanon.
This morning, Israeli drones are flying over several areas of southern Lebanon.
