Hezbollah announces killing of its fighter in Nabatieh earlier today
Hezbollah officially announced the death of one of its fighters, Hussein Hassan Yehia, targeted on the road to Markaba, Nabatieh.
Hezbollah also announced that the bodies of two of its fighters, killed during the last war with Israel, had been found.
One was identified as Ali Hadi Ghassan Hijazi and will be buried in his village of Tayr Debba (Sour), and the other is Hussein Moustapha al-Achhab "Haidar Ali," whose funeral will take place in Kafaat, in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
According to our correspondent, the missile used in the Sibline strike was an AGM-114 Hellfire, also known as Flying Ginsu, which had already been used in a strike on Kahale during the war between Hezbollah and Israel.
It is distinguished by the absence of explosives: it is equipped with blades that deploy on impact, causing considerable damage to the specific target while sparing the surrounding area. This missile is capable of penetrating both vehicles and buildings.
Victim of Israel's attack on Sibline identified as member of Amal
The victim of the strike in Sibline has been identified as Hussein Koteich, originally from the village of Anqoun (Saida), and a member of the Amal movement.
According to our correspondent, he is the first Amal member killed by an Israeli drone strike since the cease-fire.
The only other victim from the Amal movement was a resident of Houla, killed during an Israeli shooting targeting civilians returning home to southern Lebanon after the war.
Strike in Sibline: 1 killed, 3 wounded
The toll from the Israeli strike on Sibline, in Chouf, is one killed — the driver of the vehicle targeted — and three wounded — General Security agents who happened to be there at the moment of the strike.
The injured are Officer Hadi Younes, from the village of Dalhoun (Iqlim al-Kharroub), and agents Alaa Chehadeh and Tarek Seif, from the village of Mazboud (Chouf).
Two of them are in stable condition, while the third had to be hospitalized at the government hospital in Sibline.
President of the Federation of Municipalities of Iqlim al-Kharroub condemns Israeli attack on Sibline
The president of the Federation of Municipalities of Iqlim al-Kharroub, Majed Terro, strongly condemned in a statement the Israeli attack on the Sibline region in Chouf this afternoon, which killed one person, the driver of the pickup truck.
He described this strike "by the Israeli enemy" as a "flagrant violation" against "a road safely used by the inhabitants of Iqlim al-Kharroub."
The elected official assured that this strike "strengthens our support for state institutions, led by the Lebanese Army, to ensure our security."
The Israeli army has launched new flares on the quarries near the village of Aitaroun (Bint Jbeil) according to our correspondent.
Prior to this, Israeli artillery had also targeted an area near the village of Marwahin (Sour).
According to witnesses, the person killed in the Israeli drone strike on Sibline (Chouf) managed to escape after the first drone hit the vehicle, but was hit by a second strike, our correspondent reports.

Israeli army confirmed it killed Palestinian teenager accused of throwing stones
The Israeli army announced that its soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian teenager in the occupied West Bank who was accused of throwing stones at them the previous day.
In a brief statement quoted by The Times of Israel, the army said a "riot" had broken out in an area near Bethlehem and that stones had been thrown at Israeli forces.
"Troops used riot control methods and then opened fire on the main instigator," the army said.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the victim as 16-year-old Ammar Yasser Mohammad Taamra.

Hezbollah announces funeral of member killed in Bint Jbeil Israeli strike
Hezbollah announced the funeral of one of its members, Mohammad Ali Ibrahim Slim, nicknamed Ali Haidar, on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in Sour, southern Lebanon.
Slim was killed on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike in Yater (Bint Jbeil district).
Several hundred protesters in Kiryat Shmona, northern Israel
Around 200 protesters blocked the southern entrance to the Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona, located in northern Israel on the border with Lebanon, to protest living conditions after the war, Haaretz reports.
The demonstration comes as many local businesses have closed, and fears of residents leaving the area are growing.
Kiryat Shmona, which faces the Lebanese village of Houla, was on the front line of rocket fire launched by Hezbollah during the 2023-2024 war.
Trump: 'Hezbollah is a problem' in Lebanon
U.S. President Donald Trump declared last night that “Hezbollah has been a problem” in Lebanon, stating that Washington “will see what happens there” and that some allied countries will be ready to intervene and “clean out” the situation if the United States so decides.
“We have a legitimate peace in the Middle East, for the first time in 3,000 years, and 59 countries support it. We’ll see what happens with Hamas. We’ll see what happens with Hezbollah,” Trump said from the White House during a press conference.
“Regardless, we have countries that want to go in and clean that out if we want them to do it ... Hezbollah in Lebanon has been a problem,” he added.

ICC rejects Israeli appeal to suspend ongoing Gaza War investigation
The appeals judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) yesterday rejected one of several legal challenges filed by Israel against the Court’s investigation into its conduct during the Gaza war.
The appeals chamber refused to overturn a lower court’s ruling that the Office of the Prosecutor’s investigation into alleged crimes within the Court’s jurisdiction can include events that occurred after Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack in southern Israel.
This decision means the investigation will continue, and the arrest warrants issued last year for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant remain in effect.

At least 45 bodies recovered from rubble of single building in Gaza City
Civil Defense in Gaza announced it had recovered at least 45 bodies from the rubble of a single building yesterday, according to Al Jazeera. The building had been destroyed by Israeli airstrikes during the war.
"If we had larger excavators, the response time would be reduced," said Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal, commenting on the recovery of the bodies.
He added that at the current pace, the search and recovery operations "would take about three years."
Israeli army conducts raids in several locations in occupied West Bank
The Israeli army launched a series of raids and operations in several locations in the occupied West Bank overnight Monday and into Tuesday morning, according to local sources and the Wafa news agency, cited by Al Jazeera.
Israeli soldiers carried out searches in Tubas and Tammun, in Tuqu' southeast of Bethlehem, as well as in Jenin, Ramallah and Nablus.
On Monday, the Israeli army killed a 16-year-old Palestinian boy during a raid in the town of Tuqu', the Palestinian Health Ministry had already announced.
In total, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
