The Israeli air force carried out at least six strikes around midnight on the Jabal Safi area and the outskirts of Roumin in Iqlim al-Tuffah (Nabatieh district), according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.

In a message posted on X, the Israeli army's Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, stated that the strikes targeted “a training complex used by Hezbollah's Radwan unit to prepare its members to plan and execute terrorist operations” against Israel.

He added that “members of the cell were undergoing firearms training at this complex.”

Adraee also claimed that “military buildings and a Hezbollah launch site used to advance attack projects” were targeted.

During the day on Monday, our correspondent reported that the Israeli army fired machine guns from the Israeli position at Malikieh toward the area around Aitaroun. At the same time, warplanes flew over several areas of the South.

The night from Sunday to Monday in southern Lebanon was marked by artillery fire and illuminating bombs from the Israeli army after a relatively calm day in the region.

According to our correspondent, the Israeli artillery fired several illuminating bombs over Yaroun, in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as twelve shells toward the south of this border village. Machine-gun fire was also directed at the same area. Later in the night, two more illuminating bombs were fired over the outskirts of Rmeish and Yaroun.

Despite the cease-fire, which took effect on Nov. 27, 2024, between Hezbollah and Israel, the Israeli army continues to carry out strikes in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa and Beirut's southern suburbs.

These attacks come as Lebanon on Wednesday appointed a civilian, Ambassador Simon Karam, to the cease-fire monitoring “mechanism,” responding to a request from Washington and Tel Aviv.

The Israeli state says it is targeting Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon and thwarting the group's alleged attempts to rebuild, even as the Lebanese Army has committed to disarming it south of the Litani River.
