Thousands of people gathered Monday evening in Bkirki, at the headquarters of the Maronite Patriarchate, where Pope Leo XIV concluded his second day in Lebanon with a meeting with the country's youth. Waving Lebanese and Vatican flags, young people cheered on the pope as he arrived, surrounded by security and followed by Patriarch Bechara al-Rai."I came to witness a historic event," explained Rita, 25. "He chose to speak to us, and we must listen to him. We are the new generation; the future of Lebanon rests on us."
