'Gaza–Aita al-Shaab–Gaza': Lina Abyad stages war from a female perspective
This production, in cooperation with MSF, brings women's voices into dialogue in a work where the personal meets the political, and testimony becomes theatrical material.

Despite the "cease-fire" agreements in Lebanon and Gaza, the Israeli brought war has not truly ended. The unbroken drone of military drones and reconnaissance aircraft still resonates, as do daily Israeli strikes from Beirut to Gaza, to Ramallah, Hebron, Jenin, and across Palestinian territories. Our minds still struggle to grasp the scale of this methodical violence: genocide, famine, rapes, journalist assassinations, threats, and a morbid pleasure in terrorizing women, children, and the elderly, in watching people die slowly. The images of victims remain etched in our unconscious; the voices of reporters, bloggers, and activists documenting their painful daily lives remain present, burning.Thus, any artistic work that evokes this war seems unfinished — perhaps, like us, the inhabitants of Lebanon and Palestine, we still need...
