Paris' decision on a potential resumption of international sanctions related to Iran's nuclear program "will be conditioned" on the release of the two French nationals accused of espionage and detained for three years by Tehran, the French foreign minister said Thursday.
"The release of Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris is an absolute priority for us. We have always told our counterparts in the Iranian regime: the question of potential decisions on sanctions will be conditioned on the resolution of this issue, this major dispute and the release" of the two nationals, said Jean-Noël Barrot.
