Iran said Sunday it has "serious doubts" about Israel's adherence to the cease-fire in effect since Tuesday after 12 days of war between the two enemy countries.

"We did not start the war but we responded to the aggressor with all our might," said the Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff Abdolrahim Moussavi, referring to Israel.

"We have serious doubts about its commitment, including to the cease-fire, and we are ready for a strong response," Moussavi added, according to remarks reported by state television.
