At least one person was killed in Israeli drones that targeted a car in the locality of Shehabieh (Sour district) with two missiles, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon. Ambulances quickly arrived at the scene. The man was the brother of three "martyrs" who were killed during the war. The total toll of the strike is not yet known.
Drones were also heard flying over several localities in southern Lebanon, in the Sour district.
Earlier in the day, Israeli fighter jets were heard flying over the Bekaa, according to our correspondent in the region. A drone was also heard flying over the Beirut area late in the morning.
Also in southern Lebanon, an Israeli drone was found in the locality of Dhaira (Sour district), where a specialized unit of the Lebanese Army intervened to transport it and take the necessary measures, reported L'Orient-Le Jour's correspondent in the South.
Later during the day, artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of Dhaira near the vicinity of a Lebanese Army center.
Also, UNIFIL patrol was intercepted in Wadi al-Hujeir while it was conducting inspections without coordination with the Lebanese Army, our correspondent reported.
The Israeli army carried out eight new strikes on Thursday night in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which have been relatively spared since the truce. Andrea Tenenti, spokesperson for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), described the strikes as a “dangerous development.”
