A spokesperson for the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated on Friday that "Gaza is the hungriest place in the world," where "100% of the population is threatened with famine."
"It is the only bounded area, a country or defined territory within a country, where the entire population is threatened with famine. 100% of the population is threatened with famine," said Jens Laerke, during the regular U.N. press briefing in Geneva, refuting the claim to the contrary by Israeli authorities.
