BEIRUT — A missile remnant from the recent war exploded on Wednesday in the village of Sinik (Saida district), in South Lebanon, causing three mild injuries, according to our local correspondent.
While scrap workers were attempting to cut the missile, it exploded and some fragments ended up in a neighboring oxygen plant yard, causing damage.
The explosion heard caused some fear among the residents of the village.
Following the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel which spanned from October 2023 to November 2024, the Lebanese Army regularly announces operations to detonate ammunition remnants in its specialized fields.
