Rubber bullets fired by the Israeli army on Sunday wounded two Lebanese civilians in Maroun al-Ras, in the Bint Jbeil district along the Lebanon-Israel border, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. According to our correspondent, the injured are a couple who were in the village to inspect their home, which had been destroyed by Israeli bombings. Their injuries are reported to be of moderate severity.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli aircraft dropped a bomb between the towns of Yarine and Dhaira, in the Sour district, while Israeli artillery fire targeted the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab (Bint Jbeil), without causing any casualties, according to our correspondent in South Lebanon, Muntasser Abdallah.

Despite the cease-fire agreement, the Israeli army continues to carry out almost daily airstrikes and artillery fire in South Lebanon and occupies five locations it considers “strategic.” At least 154 people have been killed in Lebanon since the truce began, according to our tally, while a barrage of fire struck the Nabatiyeh region on Thursday. The Israeli army conducted one of the most intense series of strikes since the cease-fire began on Nov. 27, claiming to have targeted a Hezbollah tunnel. Two Hezbollah fighters were killed in those strikes.
