European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday afternoon in Rome, on the sidelines of Pope Francis' funeral, her spokesperson said.
"President von der Leyen and President Zelensky will meet this afternoon," said Paula Pinho, spokesperson for the European Commission.
Furthermore, von der Leyen and U.S. President Donald Trump have agreed, during an exchange on the sidelines of Pope Francis' funeral, to meet at a later date, according to a European source on Saturday.
"During their brief exchange, President von der Leyen and President Trump agreed to meet," said Paula Pinho, spokesperson for the European Commission, without further details.
