Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday promised "a strong response" to the Houthi rebels in Yemen, who have been regularly launching missiles and drones at Israel since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
"I want to say ... to the Houthis and to all those who wish us harm: any attack against us will not go unanswered. There will be a strong response," Netanyahu said in a speech delivered in Jaffa, in central Israel.

Army commander-in-chief visits Nabatieh
Army Commander-in-Chief Rodolphe Haykal visited Nabatieh on Monday, including a stop at the Issam Chamoun barracks, where he met with soldiers and offered his condolences for the deaths of three servicemen. The soldiers were killed on Sunday following an explosion in their vehicle while transporting unexploded ordnance on the Breikeh road in Nabatieh.
“We are always ready to fulfill our national duty. This is not the first time the army has given martyrs, and we will continue to do everything expected of us to protect Lebanon,” General Haykal stated, praising the “remarkable and precise work of the soldiers during this difficult period to protect our fellow citizens in the South.”
Trump - Netanyahu
President Donald Trump is expected to speak on Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the cease-fire in Gaza, the hostage deal, and nuclear negotiations with Iran, according to two sources familiar with the matter cited by Axios journalist Barak Ravid. The U.S. is hoping for a breakthrough, the journalist added, noting that the Qatari Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Washington on Tuesday for talks, including meetings with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House envoy Steve Witkoff.
Army pays final tribute to lieutenant Zeitoun and two soldiers killed in Breikeh
A ceremony was held Monday in Toul, in the Nabatiyeh district of southern Lebanon, in honor of the officer and two soldiers who were killed Sunday when an explosion occurred in their vehicle as they were transporting unexploded munitions on the Breikeh road (Nabatiyeh). The tribute took place ahead of each being laid to rest in their respective hometowns.
South Lebanon water authority continues repairing water pipes in Nabatiyeh
South Lebanon Water Authority announced Monday that its maintenance teams are continuing rehabilitation work on water distribution networks in the villages of the Nabatiyeh region, most of which were damaged during the conflict with Israel. The teams are also implementing new projects to ensure water supply.
Today, teams were dispatched to the towns of Doueir, Kfar Remmane, Aadshit, Choukine, and Mayfadoun to repair faults in both the main and secondary water networks.
Paramedics killed in Gaza: Civil Defence accuses Israel of trying to 'circumvent' international law
Palestinian Civil Defence has accused the Israeli army of carrying out "summary executions" in the shooting that killed 15 paramedics in Gaza in March, contradicting the findings of an internal investigation published the day before by the Israeli military.
"The video filmed by one of the paramedics proves that the narrative of the Israeli occupation is false and shows that they carried out summary executions," Mohammed al-Moughair, a Civil Defence official in Gaza, told AFP. He also accused Israel of trying to "circumvent" its obligations under international law.
Houthis report 12 dead in US airstrikes on Sanaa
Houthi rebels in Yemen said that U.S. airstrikes on the capital Sanaa killed "12 people and injured 30," according to a toll released by the Health Ministry, amid near-daily U.S. strikes.
"Twelve people were killed and 30 others wounded as a result of the American enemy’s strikes on the Farwa market and the surrounding neighborhood," in central Sanaa, said a statement from the Houthi Health Ministry cited by the rebels’ official Saba news agency, adding that the toll was "provisional."

Iran accuses Israel of trying to 'undermine' talks with US
Iran has accused Israel of attempting to "undermine" ongoing talks with the U.S. on the nuclear issue, which has been a source of tension with Western countries.
"A sort of coalition is forming ... to sabotage and disrupt the diplomatic process," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaïl Baghaï during a press briefing, adding that "the Zionist regime is at the center of this movement." Israel is referred to as the "Zionist regime" by Iranian authorities, who do not recognize the state of Israel.
