Zelensky: "What diplomacy are you talking about, JD [Vance]? What do you mean?"
Vance: "I'm talking about the kind of diplomacy that will put an end to the destruction of your country. Mr. President, if I may, I find it disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office and try to debate this in front of the American media. Right now, you are forcing conscripts to join the front line because you have personnel issues. You should thank the president."
Zelensky: "Have you ever been to Ukraine to see our problems?"
Vance: "I've read things and I know what's happening: You're taking people on a propaganda tour, Mr. President. Do you deny having a problem mobilizing people into your army? And do you think it's disrespectful to come into the United States' Oval Office and attack the government trying to prevent the destruction of your country?"
Zelensky: "That's a lot of questions. Let's start at the beginning. First, during a war, everyone has problems, even you."
Trump: "You don't know. Don't tell us how we should behave. We're trying to solve a problem. Don't tell us how we should behave. No legitimacy for that ... You've put yourself in a very bad position. You don't have the cards here, without us you don't have the cards. You're playing with the lives of millions of people, you're playing with World War III and what you're doing is very disrespectful to our country."
...
Trump, angrily: "We've already given you, because of the stupid president [Joe Biden], 350 billion [dollars] in military equipment. Your men are brave but they're using our equipment. If you didn't have it, this war would have been over in two weeks. Two days."
Zelensky: "I've heard those three days before from Putin. Or something like less than two weeks."
Trump: "It's going to be very hard to negotiate like this."
Vance: "Just say thank you."
...
Trump: "I think it's good for the Americans to see what's happening. I think it's very important. That's why I'm letting this play out so long. You need to be thankful, you don't have the cards. Your citizens are dying. Listen, you're running out of soldiers and then you tell us 'I don't want a cease-fire, I don't want a cease-fire.' Listen, if you can have a cease-fire now, I'm telling you, you take it to stop the bullets and the massacre of your men. You say you don't want a cease-fire, but I want one."
...
Trump: "I think we've seen enough. Good television moment."
