The public telephone operator in Lebanon, Ogero, announced on Tuesday on X that the exchanges in Marjayoun, in south Lebanon, and Douma, in north Lebanon, are currently out of service due to several outages. The affected towns and their surroundings are temporarily without landline phone services and fixed Internet access.

Ogero said that "its teams will work to repair the outage as quickly as possible."

Numerous outages have occurred in recent months at Ogero's exchanges in Lebanon and the telephone network, due in part to the still severe rationing of public electricity which affects the power supply to the exchanges, and Israeli strikes which have heavily damaged the telecommunications network in the affected regions.
