Hezbollah on Monday released a statement of congratulations to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian, for the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. Led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini, the revolution "changed the course of history and ended tyranny, laying the foundations for a strong and independent Islamic state," the party said.
"From now on, this Islamic Republic has become a recognized regional force that has asserted itself on the international stage, becoming an essential factor in the equations of the region and the world," the text continued.
Celebrations were organized in recent days in Tehran, at the request of many officials of the Islamic Republic, who called on the nation to participate in large numbers. These celebrations are taking place following the return to power of U.S. President Donald Trump, who is in favor of a "maximum pressure" policy against Tehran, and after an Israeli war in Gaza and Lebanon, which weakened Iranian allies such as Hezbollah and Hamas.
